TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) has introduced the TDK-Lambda CCG60, a 60 W isolated DC-DC converter in a compact 1 × 1-inch footprint. Part of the existing CCG series, the CCG60 provides up to twice the power of the CCG30 in the same board footprint, helping equipment designers add power without increasing the converter mounting area.
Modern electronic systems contain multiple discrete loads, while designers continue to face exacting limits on board space, efficiency, and thermal performance. The CCG60 addresses these requirements by delivering up to 60 W from a 25.4 × 25.4 mm board footprint with an overall height of 13.0 mm, and a weight of 30 g. TDK-Lambda comparisons show that the converter requires less than half the mounting area of selected competing products.
Two 4:1 input range options support commonly used system voltages. The CCG60-24 models operate from 9 to 36 Vdc for 12 V and 24 V systems, while CCG60-48 models accept 18 to 76 Vdc. Both input ranges are available with nominal outputs of 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, or 24 V.
Efficiency reaches up to 93%, reducing power losses and easing thermal management. The CCG60 operates from -40 °C to +85 °C and delivers up to 60 W at an ambient temperature of 60 °C, with 30 W available at 85 °C under the stated operating conditions. Convection and forced-air cooling are supported.
The CCG60 includes remote on/off control, output voltage adjustment, and overcurrent protection. Input-to-output withstand voltage is 1500 Vdc for one minute, with 1000 Vdc withstand voltage from input or output to the case, providing functional insulation.
Six-sided metal shielding reduces radiated and conducted EMI, helping simplify system EMC compliance and reducing the time and cost associated with passing regulatory testing. The CCG60 is backed by a five-year warranty, giving customers confidence in long-term reliability and product performance.
Certification to IEC, EN, UL, and CSA 62368-1 supports equipment compliance and covers operation at altitudes up to 5000 m. The converter is intended for industrial, test and measurement, communications, and broadcast equipment.
