How you should be able to use this website

This website is run by TDK-Lambda EMEA. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

• navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
• listen to most of the website using a screen reader
• change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
• zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen

How accessible this website is

We appreciate that there are some areas of the website where accessibility could be improved. We've identified the following examples:

• most of our older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
• much of the imagery used in our FAQ and in our Glossary of Terms could benefit from descriptive text
• our video content does not currently include captions
• you cannot easily skip past the navigation to get to the main content when using a screen reader
• there's a limit to how far you can magnify the maps used on our 'contact us' page and on our EMEA landing page

Non-accessible content

We've identified the following items or features as currrently non-accessible:

1. Images and videos on some pages do not yet have suitable image descriptions.
2. Many of our older PDFs are not fully compatible with screen readers.
3. Some of our website content has yet to be translated or is marked as the wrong language.
4. It is not yet possible to skip past the navigation and jump to the main content.
5. The text on some of our our links or buttons does not accurately describe what those links or buttons do.
6. Our website relies on some 3rd party features that are not yet fully accessible.

Disproportionate burden

We've assessed the cost of addressing some of these issues from an accessibility perspective. We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility guidelines. We will make another assessment in due course.

What we're doing to improve accessibility

We regularly test our website for accessibility and make improvements wherever we can to maximise its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.

We carry out both manual tests as well as automated tests to help identify relevant issues.

We educate and encourage our copy writers and translation team to adhere to accessibility best-practices when preparing or adding content for our website.
