CHVM high voltage dc-dc converter modules offer output voltages of up to 2kV in compact SIP pcb mount formats. Output power is 1.4W to 3W depending on package and all units accept a nominal 12Vdc input. Remote on/off is standard and the output can be adjusted from 0.5% to 100% using an external variable resistor or applied voltage. CHVM offers extremely low ripple and noise performance (as low as 5mVp_p on a 1000V output) making them suitable for precision, noise sensitive applications such as photomultiplier tubes, photodiodes and other detectors and devices often employed in laboratory equipment such as scanning electron microscopes, X-ray fluorescence spectrometers, mass spectrometers and ultrasonic probes.
The i7A series can be used to derive additional high power outputs from a 24V, 36V or 48V DC power supply, at a much lower cost than isolated DC-DC converters. Efficiencies of up to 98.5% minimise internal losses and allow the i7A to operate in ambient temperatures of -40oC to +125oC, even with low airflow conditions. The i7A’s design provides low output ripple and excellent response to dynamic loads. Very few required external components are required, compared to discrete solutions, saving cost and printed circuit board space. A choice of three mechanical configurations is available, measuring just 34mm wide and 36.8mm in length. The 11.5mm high open frame model is most suitable for applications requiring a very low profile. A baseplate version for conduction cooling to a cold plate is 12.7mm high, or models with an integral heatsink for convection or forced air cooling are 24.9mm high. Standard features include an output voltage adjustment trim pin, + remote sense, remote on-off (positive or negative logic), input under-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection.
Certified to the IEC 60601-1 and IEC 62368-1 standards for Medical and Audio/Video, Information and Communication Technology Equipment, the PXD Medical series is housed in the industry standard 2” x 1 package. Featuring an input to output isolation voltage of 5,000Vac and accepting either a 9 to 36Vdc or 18 to 75Vdc input, the PXD Medical series is available with output voltages of 5, 12, 15, 24, +/- 5, +/- 12 and +/- 15Vdc. Operation from 12V and 24V, or 24V and 48V nominal inputs reduces inventory carrying costs and improves part availability.
The i7C series of non-isolated step-up / step-down converters are ideal for generating additional DC output voltage rails up to 300 W from a single output 12V, 24V or 48V AC-DC power supply. The highly efficient i7C series accepts a very wide DC input and has a wide output adjustment range. Three mechanical configurations are available; low profile open frame, baseplate construction for conduction cooling, or integral heat sink for convection or forced air cooling. A full feature Power Good signal, switching frequency synchronization and output current monitoring option is available.
