Thermically Optimized Design

The CUS400M PCB assembly is encapsulated in a thermally conductive, insulated plastic base. This enables conduction cooling via a cooling plate or the equipment housing. The five mechanical options cater for every cooling scenario.


30 Minute Peak Power

The CUS400M series can deliver 400W peak power when convection / conduction cooled not just for a few seconds, but up to 30 minutes. This makes it particularly suitable for applications with cyclical load peaks.


Two protection classes, one power supply!

With the CUS400M series, developers now have a universal power supply for protection classes I and II, making it easier and more efficient for them to integrate into a wide variety of medical devices.

Very Good EMC-Compatibility!

The CUS400M series emissions remain well below the prescribed limits of the EMC standards. This gives developers confidence in being able to achieve system EMC compliance.

Safety certifications for medical and industrial applications

Medical and industrial safety certifications for the CUS400M series include IEC/EN/ES 60601-1, IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 with CE marking for the low voltage, EMC and RoHS directives.

Quiescent current and peak load

The CUS400M is the ideal power supply for a variety of medical and industrial applications with low quiescent current consumption and peak loads up to 30 minutes. These include hospital beds, dental chairs, incubators and laboratory equipment.

For high altitude applications

The maximum altitude for the power supply operation is 5.000 meters, which supports worldwide use and sales opportunities for end applications.

Ideal cooling

The CUS400M PCB assembly is encapsulated in a thermally conductive, insulated plastic base (patented). The power semiconductors are mounted on the underside of the board. This allows contact cooling via a cold plate or the system housing. Versions with metal base plate, U-channel, U- channel with cover and quiet top fan complete the cooling options.

Optional features

Optionally, all devices can be equipped with a standby voltage of 5V / 2A or 12V / 0.83A, remote on/off, remote sense, AC fail and an output good signal.
