TDK-Lambda EMEA Statement on Covid-19 Coronavirus Outbreak
Posted : 16 Jun 2020
TDK-Lambda EMEA is monitoring the fast moving Covid-19 pandemic on a daily basis and taking all necessary actions in response.
Many of our customers are engaged in vital industries, particularly Healthcare, and other essential sectors .Therefore TDK-Lambda EMEA is using its best efforts to respond effectively whilst protecting the health and welfare of our employees and strictly following Government guidelines and instructions.
To prevent the coronavirus from spreading in its facilities worldwide, TDK-Lambda EMEA has implemented strict guidelines for business trips, prohibiting all trips outside of the EMEA Region and severely restricting trips between countries within the EMEA Region. Trips to High Risk Areas within EMEA as specified by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) are also prohibited. In addition, all travelers – whether on business or private trips – who could not avoid a stay or stopover in risk countries or regions are instructed to work from home or self-isolate upon return for a period of two weeks. Moreover, we have prohibited most visitors to our facilities and extensive precautions are taken for essential visitors.
A series of prevention and control measures have been implemented at all
TDK-Lambda’s sites including Social Distancing and enhanced hygiene measures.
We have been overcoming challenges with staffing levels which have impacted our manufacturing operations but all sites are now operating closer to normal. Supply chain shortages , resulting from supplier shutdowns in the earlier months of the crisis , are presenting some challenges that our dedicated procurement teams are working diligently to overcome as they arise. Limited flight availability is causing some delays in transportation time and freight costs have increased substantially. Nevertheless we are pleased to note that we have been able to respond to the critical needs of our customers including some substantial increases in demand at short notice.
The Management of TDK-Lambda worldwide are continuously reviewing the situation and will continue to take all necessary actions to mitigate disruption to our Customers. For further information about your specific requirements, please contact your local TDK-Lambda Representative or Sales Office.
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to our Employees who have approached these problems in a positive and well-motivated way.
